Good ideas start on paper. We all have them. In fact, most of us carry them around with us in our heads and never get round to realizing them or putting pen to paper. ‘Made in Medway’ is no exception. It started life as an idea, it led to a book, which then grew into a website.
The ‘Made in Medway’ team are Bianca Donnelly (journalist/fashion stylist) and Steve Rowland (art director). Encouraged by the vibrant creative community they decided to showcase it in a book entitled ‘Made in Medway.’ Published in December 2007, the book features original artwork, interviews, portraits and profiles of 27 accomplished artists, designers and makers all living and working within Medway, at both a national and international level.
Made in Medway is a creative hub, an online gallery, a visual archive, a directory, a blog, a networking opportunity, a place to commission work, and an on-line resource centre for practitioners to develop their discipline further. It is sponsored by Medway Renaissance and University College for the Creative Arts.
